In March I stepped back to see the whole scope of the project so far, while also allowing myself to drift into new stylistic territories. I consolidated , experimented with a third track, and experienced my music on a real nightclub sound system for the first time.

Accumulating and structuring the project

• Spent time gathering everything I had so far: stems, sketches, recordings, notes and ideas from previous months.

• Started to see a clearer structure for the EP: which pieces belong on Red Threads and which ideas might live as side projects or future tracks.

• Continued working on the third song, shaping its concept and sonic palette alongside the two main tracks.

Exploring phonk and other styles

• Allowed myself to compose outside the core project, drifting into styles like phonk.

• If I had more dedicated time for this project, this phonk‑influenced piece would likely have become a fully finished track, as it offered a powerful contrast to the more techno‑oriented material.

First proper nightclub DJ set

• Played my first proper DJ set in a nightclub, at Plot 22 in Sheffield, a 120‑capacity venue focused on underground electronic music and community projects.

• During the set, I showed a short snippet of my Tatar techno track “Allaga Sheker”, testing how it works on a serious club sound system and how the crowd responds.

• Plot 22 operates as a “no phones” or low‑filming environment, so full recording of my set wasn’t allowed, and the only documentation comes from a few photos and short committee videos that did not capture my original track.

• Even without a full recording, this night was important because it was the first time my original ideas met a real dancefloor, which gave me feedback on energy, arrangement and mix decisions that I can use in future performances and productions.
